Revision Heatmap and Cold Scenes
The heatmap shows where you've been working. Cold scenes show where you haven't.
Revision heatmap
In the corkboard, choose the Heatmap menu (the flame) and turn on Revision Heatmap. On the Mac it's also in the View menu.
Scenes are tinted by how many words you've written and cut in them. The more rewriting, the warmer the colour. A folder takes the colour of its busiest scene, so a busy chapter stands out even when it's closed. The contents show the same colours.
Choose Heatmap Period to look at the last week, 30 days, 90 days or year.
The heatmap counts the words you type in the editor. It starts from when Five Rooms began keeping statistics for the project, so earlier writing isn't included. Changes made with Find in Project, Fix Quotes or Clean Up aren't counted as writing.
Cold scenes
A snowflake marks a scene you haven't opened or changed in a while. Opening counts on each device separately; a change made on any device counts everywhere.
Choose Mark Scenes Cold After in the Heatmap menu to set how long that is (30 to 365 days; 90 at first), or Never to hide the snowflakes. Folders aren't marked.
